He had a 'candybar' style Pearl before the Flip came out, and finds the Flip worlds better. Have you handled one yet? The keys are HUGE - which is not really a bad thing. It has a decent processor, faster than a Curve but slower than a Tour. More memory than a Curve, too, and a big screen. The external display is great too, since you don't have to open the phone to see your latest info. When closed, the form factor is terrific. A really nice size - and being a flip, its alot 'safer' too.
