Hello,

how could a script (WS_FTP Professional --> Script Utility) look like if I want to move files with a file name like "image_11-09-08_10-23-45" ("image_year-month-day_hours-minutes-seconds") from one directory to another within the FTP-Server. The difficulty is that I don't know the filenames exactly so I HAVE TO work with wildcards, e. g. like this "image_11-09-*".

How could this be done for a lot of files?

TIA.

the company that is sending you those files should use a FTP client to upload them to your FTP Server for you to download on such client would be WS-FTP Pro which is extremely safe and secure to use....

I have several files that get sent to an email every day (15-25 files). I need these files on my FTP and I am tired of having to download them to my computer and then use an FTP client to upload them. I have already spoken with the company that is sending me the files, and they stated they cannot direct these files to my or any FTP, they can only e-mail them. It’s just not efficient and I would love to be able to just auto-forward them directly to my FTP.

Please help

Well, the easiest solution was to change FTP programs. I switched to FileZilla and the problem disappeared.

I have experienced random failures to list files on the remote server after logging on. When it happens it applies to any FTP site I log onto. Then later it clears up and they all list files fine. I can actually log onto the sites, and the last two commands are:
< 200 PORT command successful.
> LIST
And then I get a time-out error if I wait long enough:
< 425 Can't build data connection: Connection timed out
My ISP is Earthlink, but trying to get an answer from their customer support is next to impossible. Any ideas?

Hiya,

I'm re-making my test site and am in the process of deleting all the files in my database so that I can upload them from my local server with a fresh start. Anyhow, all the files in the themes folder deleted no problem but for some reason some of the files in the Modules and Sites folder wont delete. Could they be locked somehow? If anyone knows what's happening then please help me out. Thanks in advance :)
