I use the Ipswich FTP Home to upload files to two web sites: http://www.lightlink.com/sglap3/massachusetts and http://www.lightlink.com/sglap3/newhampshire . Both web sites are up and still running. But when I open the Ipswitch WS_FTP program to upload additional files to the web, the two folders for these websites are missing from the remote directory (I'm not even sure my language is correct here--I hope I've said that right). I've tried every button and menu item I can to find them, but I can't locate them anywhere. How do I get them to show so that I can select them and load files into them? Are they gone forever? Can they be restored? As you can probably tell, I'm not very tech-literate. But I sure would helpful appreciate advice. Thanks! GL

Hello Ajay,

As Paul mentioned above, you can use Conexme (file transfer) in combination with Logmein (remote desktop) to accomplish your task.

Please follow the steps below to initiate a file transfer between two remote servers from a third computer:

1. Sign up and install logmein onto both remote servers.

2. Sign up and launch Conexme on both remote servers. You can launch Conexme on each server using one username and then bind each server to a different location (e.g. Server 1 and Server 2).

3. Launch logmein on the third computer and remote desktop into either Server 1 or Server 2 and upload or download files between both servers through Conexme.

If you have any questions, feel free to post them.

Kevin

Hi All,
Greeetings, In our project we have a requirement where in we need to transfer files from one server to the either but we plan npot to install a client on any of them rather we plan to install a Client at a diffeent location and it would initiate the file transfer between these applications. Unlike the FTP way where in we download the content to the client we want this client to only facliltet the transfer. We have heard something abt FXP but could not get any useful information we would really appreciate if anyone can throw some more light on FXP or tell us abt any other way of achieving this.

Warm Regards,
Ajay
