The files that I am trying to modify are .HTML files. I copied some of them over to a local folder on my computer, made one change to a file to test it out (index.html file) and then tried overwriting the old hosted file with the updated file. However, when I do that, I get this error: Status: Connection established, waiting for welcome message... I tried manually changing the permissions on the file and the entire folder to 755 and 777, but they keep reverting back to their original settings. First this is my setup, i have a 100x100 mb fiber pipe at a location i am working at. i am comming out of a cisco fiber router to ethernet. i am coming straight from the fiber switch to the computer at a 1gb connection. So my problem is when i try to upload to my ftp server via windows explorer i can never get about 1.5mb, but if i upload via command prompt it goes at about 60mb upload, so the pipe is good. So you say why dont you just use the command prompt, well i have specialized gear here that run xp emmbedded and it does this via the windows explorer. I have tried 4 other computers and they all do the same thing. I have searched for all the instances of source code for the original page, thought I had them all, but there is either one more hidden or the original source is somehow locked. PROCEDURE: To backup email files from local folder to external drive on local box. When using HotSync shortcut off Desktop, as instructed, it opens a dialog that wants a remote host. NOTE: A sync CTL file was created after a successfully sync. Then it's downhill from there. (I assume it worked, because the files are on the external drive) PROCESS: Using Synchronize Utility (SU) create a new sync .ctl file and save it. Close WS_FTP Pro. Open WS_FTP Pro, open SU, and Open saved CTL file - it's empty - try it - click Execute - nothing happens. Re-re-re-create a CTL file (others just don't save). Save it to a ctl file. Browse to the CTL file, create a shortcut on desktop. Click it - and "Login Information" opens (see attached pic li.jpg) OR Locate *.ctl and open that = same thing as above in step 6. Test the CTL file: With WS_FTP Pro open, Click Tools > Synchronize Files > Manage Synchronize files and the "Untitled - WS_FTP Synchronize Utility" (SU) opens. I had WS-FTP Pro 2007 installed on my PC along with WS-FTP LE 6, with the installation of WS-FTP 12 LE (I guess I downloaded it to the wrong folder) it replaced my Pro 2007 but, imported my "sites". So, it looks like I am stuck with WS-FTP LE for the next year after which I will stick with it or revert back to WS-FTP Pro 2007 via the MYIPSWITCH account download. Here's my situation: We're connecting to a vendor, they mandate SFTP on an odd port. I have all the firewall pieces taken care of, and we can connect, but apparently the SSH keypair authentication isn't working. The vendor has provided me two Public SSH keys, and RSA and a DSA. I can't find anywhere in WS_FTP 2007 Pro to import these keys, though when I set up the SFTP conneciton, and connect for the first time, it pops up a screen about an "Untrusted SSH Server Key". I chose to "trust this key", then there is an entry that appears in Tools > Options > SSH > Trusted Hosts. So, can anyone tell me if the "Trusted Host" the same as importing the vendor's public key? If it is, then why am I getting the error "Failed SSH User Authentication" when trying to connect? I feel like I'm missing something.
