   I am running an FTP script from z/OS to Windows server environment which works fine but I was wondering if it is possible on completion of FTP to also trigger the running of a Windows Batch command file, which already exists in the same folder where the file is put, so as to perform further action on the file just FTP'd.

   I can't see any FTP subcommands that will allow this.

   Which FTP product are you currently running? Ipswitch Pro and server will not install on Zos, Windows only. If you are using WS_FTP server 7 or 7.1 a folder action rule can be used to start a batch file after a successful upload or download for example. WS_FTP pro version 12.1 offers post transfer actions. The post transfer actions include none, delete source files, move source files, rename source files and rename and move source files. You can get this version online at

   It is FTP running on a mainframe Z/OS envt and FTP to Windows envt.
