   Hello

   I have absolutely no idea how to use FTP :roll: I have read the tutorials but I feel you need a bit of knowledge to begin with.

   I want to be able to transfer audio dictation files to my computer from the company that I work for. I have downloaded FTP but what do I do now? I have put my business name and password and I think this is ok but do you have to have a website ?? because I don't have one.

   At the moment the audio is being put on a disk and posted to me but as I want to build up my business this option isn't really viable

   Any help appreciated

   In order for this to work your company would need to set up an FTP Server, or use a hosted ftp site and you would need to have an FTP Client on your home PC.....from your companys work station, using an FTP Client, you would then upload the audio files to the company FTP Server...from your home PC, using an FTP Client you would then download the files....

   If your company has an FTP Server then, an upload and download of files could take place from anywhere, provided the users have the proper qualifications.
