   I designed a web page and uploaded it to my server. now I want to know I can I get that page to go live?

   by "my server" do you mean a server that you have at home or is it on a hosted site?

   Hi Paul,

   thanks for replying.

   I meant a hosting site.

   After a struggle I managed to get it uploaded and it is now looking ok, but I have loads still to lean.
   I am using cuteftp pro and getting nowhere with it. I uploaded my web page via my design application so problem solved.

   However, in saying that, I would like to know if I can upload a web page via CuteFTP Pro and if is, how is that done. So far I can upload it but unable to view it.

   I would appreciate and advice you can give,

   You should be able to use CuteFTP Pro to upload your file, to your Host...you would need, of course, your user ID and Password and server name... to veiw it in your browser you would need the proper URL....something like this http://yourhostwhatever/yourusername/filename.htm is usually the standard but, yours may be different....the homepage file needs to be named whatever the Host says its needs to be called...usually its called index.htm or home.htm and it needs to be uploaded to the correct directory/folder, on the host server, as specified by your Host...
