Preserve File Times
(2 posts)-
Greetings,
There is an option in Program Options > Browser Integration > Preserve file times. However, this only works downloading files. Is there an option to preserve the files times when uploading files?
I'm using WS_FTP 12.3 LE.
Thanks,

below is an excerpt from another post answer....it may or may not give you the information you need but, I thought that it may point you in the right direction....
MDTM stands for Month, Day and Time Marking. If the ftp server does not support this, an error message gets reported back to WS_FTP. There is no need for concern, your files will transfer correctly. There will be a timestamp from the server on the files. If you select Preserve file time on transfer..., WS_FTP Pro will always preserve the date on downloads. However, it will only attempt to preserve the date and time on uploads, because many FTP sites do not support this feature.
If the preservation of file date and time is not supported by the FTP site, you will get an "MTDM" error when you upload files to the site. Note, however, that the files will transfer correctly with updated timestamps from the FTP site. (The "MTDM" error is not serious, even though it displays in red.)
If the MDTM command is not supported by the server, then you will not be able to use the synchronization utility successfully. If the date and time stamp on the files are not preserved, then the files will always be recognized as new files in the synchronization utility.
