Where do you host your sites?

Just wondering who you all use as a webhost.. I use Dreamhost.com myself - and have used them for many years and have always had great luck with them. Even if there are issues, their service is courteous and quick. I have a couple clients who use Godaddy.. and my BEEP, what horrific service!!! GD is ok for domain reg's but seriously, I don't know how people put up with the hosting side of their biz.

My, internet provider, Shaw, gives me space for free so thats what I use....the only problem with that is the domain name is exceptionaly long and complicated...my answer to this was to buy a redirection and a registered domain name so instead of http://members.shaw.ca/vernontigers/index.html you can just do the http://www.vernontigers.ca....I am a happy man...Paul

I have a VPS with Server Intellect. I used a bunch of different host over the years and then decided to bring them all to one spot. I went with a managed VPS caused I wanted the extra support plus I like the fact I can run beta software which most hosting account wont let ya do. They are very good if your looking for windows hosting.

I have setup a couple of blogs on Wordpress.org - its free.. but I can't really get into the blogging thing so I havent really kept them up. You can't really customize them or load much as far as files go. But if you need a basic web presence its a good place to start.
Facebook has Pages for super basic stuff - and there is Google Sites, too - its pretty powerful for being free.

Take a look at superb.net in the next couple days. They've been in business since 1996, but they're just about to launch their new website, and they offer everything from domain name registration (plus a really fun random name generator tool) to a GridIron platform for 99.99% reliable shared web hosting. Very good support, very reasonable prices. All the testimonials say once they switch to Superb, they never want to leave.
